Italy is famous all over the world for its wine culture. The quality of the land, the climate and, above all, the experience developed over the centuries in the wine making industry make Italian wine one of the most representative products of its land.
“Wine culture” is an interesting concept: it involves drinking, but also tasting, enjoying, sharing – exactly like the Chinese “tea culture”, as ancient and as deeply rooted.
The growing attention of the Chinese market to wine culture is of paramount importance for Italy, not only with the aim to deepen bilateral ties, but also as a mean to promote better understanding of its multifaceted culture. Educating the consumers to understand the origin and history of Italian wine-making, to taste and to learn how to pair it with different food cultures and food tradition, is a necessary step in the process.
Companies like Hooney, active in importing and distributing top Italian wines in China, are therefore crucial links in this chain of cultural promotion. I therefore praise this initiative and I wish it the greatest success.
Congratulations, Hoonay!
